Future Leadership Change

For 34 years, Rev. Dwight Rich and his wife Carolyn have served as missionaries in the country of Ecuador, a place they love with all of their hearts.  In the last 19 years Dwight has served as the North Andean Field Strategy Coordinator which consists of Ecuador, Colombia, and Venezuela.
On May 1, 2018 they will finish their ministry here as NAF Directors and will return to the States for a final year of deputation.
We will miss them dearly!  Their influence, leadership and passion have left a mark on us by everything they have done to serve the NAF and the Lord.
We will join you in prayer, our dear friends Dwight and Carolyn in the time of transition.  Dwight and Carolyn have two children, Bryan and Stefanie who are both married. They are grandparents to two precious boys and another child that will be born in March.
After much prayer and consultation, Regional Director Dr. Christian Sarmiento, General Superintendent, Dr. David Busic and Global Mission Director, Dr. Vern Ward appointed Rev. David González to fill the position, starting May 1, 2018
Rev. David González has ample experience as a pastor, Regional Coordinator of Youth in the Mexico and Central America Region. He has served as the Executive Assistant to the Global NYI Director, and for the last quadrennium he served as the Global NYI President.  During the past 3 years David has served as the Coordinator of Ministries on the SAM Region and his wife, Tabita, serves as the Regional Coordinator of Nazarene Compassionate Ministries.
David, and Tabita have two boys, Lucas and Jeremias.  They will be moving from Argentina to Ecuador with sufficient time to work together with Rev. Dwight Rich for a smooth transition. Please pray for and uplift the González family during this time of change.
