Dinner of Honor

These are the two buildings named in honor of Dwight and Carolyn Rich

The SAM Region and Sierra North District held a dinner in honor of NAF Directors Rev. Dwight and Carolyn Rich. Regional and national leadership were present.  Old friends as well as new attended the wonderful dinner with a Mariachi Band included.
District Superintendent HernĂ¡n Puga, who was presiding over the dinner, started with singing hymns from past and present and then reflected on the past 34 years of complete dedication, the example of excellent leadership and shared anecdotes of ministry together.
Rector and President of the Nazarene Theological Seminary, Rev. David Lemache, asked everyone to go outside to the front of the building where he unveiled two plaques on the front of the Conference Center buildings in honor of Dwight and Carolyn.  It is fitting that Carolyn would have the conference center dedicated to her with a kitchen and dining hall since she has the gift of hospitality in serving food and hosting people in their home. The Tabernacle with it’s basketball court was named in honor of Dwight.
Regional Director Dr. Christian Sarmiento recognized NAF Directors Dwight and Carolyn Rich for 34 years of sacrificial service as Missionaries and thanked them for their tremendous leadership for Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela.
At the conclusion a video was presented of the memories and the life of the Richs while serving in Ecuador, showing their ministries in finance, as DS, Work and Witness Coordinators, every position with the Seminary including it’s construction and then serving as NAF Directors for the last 19 years.
