From the Ground Up!

It’s June, a time when people are planning vacations and end of school events, but the Northwest Illinois District had other plans.  They came to Ecuador to build a church and grow God’s kingdom in Santiago (Bolivar Provence) Ecuador.  A team of 11 people came and built a church literally from the ground to the roof!  When the team arrived, there were holes dug but the rest was up to the team and some national workers!  They worked long, hard hours, filing those holes, laying the footers, tying rebar, welding, pouring columns and moving BIG ROCKS, and finally putting the roof on!

God was so good and the glory is for him that this is now a place where children will come to hear God’s word and God’s kingdom will grow.  The team also had the opportunity to hold a kids club 3 times while they were in Santiago.  This church is a Church plant from the San Miguel Church and the team was blessed in getting to know the pastors of that Church Alex and Cynthia.  May God continue to bless the pastors and their ministry in this part of Ecuador!

A Huge thanks to the NWIL team for all of their hard work in helping raise this church from the ground up!
