Giving Voice to Children's Dreams

Aug. 25, 2020

Through the network of Nazarene Churches, the dreams of low-income children and pre-teens were given a voice through the development of the Children's Youth Symphony Orchestra!

A little over two years ago District Superintendent Mario Paredes from Central Mountain District developed a program within the Nazarene Church Compassion International Programs to start teaching children orchestra. That was a big dream since most children in Ecuador would never have the opportunity to learn an instrument so costly. Little by little the instruments were purchased and a teacher was found that travels from church to church. They still have a need for instruments so pray that they will be able to teach children through more instruments.
The children and pre-teens have performed for numerous occasions, such as celebrations and city functions with as many as 100 instruments represented. The video is a representation of the following 11 churches that many of you helped to build.

Riobamba
Guaranda
San Miguel
San Pablo
Chillanes
Cumanda
Caluma
Las naves
Echeandia
Chinimpe
Santa Clara
