* We praise the Lord that Baby Halston continues to improve with her health. She had her 3rd infusion this week and will have further infusions in the weeks ahead as part of the treatment for atypical HUS. Pray that God will intervene with complete healing.
Five-month-old Halston, was in and out of the hospital from the middle of Dec with kidney problems, high blood pressure, and low hemoglobin count which led the doctors to diagnose her with atypical HUS (aHUS) an extremely rare and serious genetic disease. here are only about 2 in 1 million people with this disease in the US and they had never seen this in a baby.
Baby Halston's parents are Bryan and Jen Rich, her big brother is Brooks, and her grandparents are Dwight and Carolyn Rich former missionaries to Ecuador. Her Aunt and Uncle are Aaron and Stefanie Phelps who have 2 boys.
* Please pray for NAF Partner and NAF short term volunteer Ron Boeve. Ron had rotator cuff surgery because of an injury. The surgery went well, he has no pain, and his arm is in a sling. He has a follow-up doctor's appointment this next Wed. Pray that Ron's shoulder will heal completely.
Ron has been to Ecuador many times to serve by welding chapels as well as other projects. |
